'Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition' surpasses 5 million sales before 2013 (Photos)

A few days ago, Notch revealed that the “Minecraft” franchise received a total of 453,000 sales on Christmas Day. The number of sales that were referenced above represents the total amount across all platforms that “Minecraft” currently resides on, this being the PC, Xbox 360, iOS, and Andriod. In conjunction with the total amount of sales received throughout the franchise on this day, 4J Studios revealed today that “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition,” which is shown above, reached a total of 5 million sales on Xbox Live before the end of 2012.

At this title continues to perform extremely well on the Xbox 360 platform, as the development team behind this title is still hard at work trying to bring it up to date with its PC counterpart. This title still receives content updates, which brings a constant stream of new features for players.
