While players recently waited on a long development period before Title Update 14 finally released for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, fans of the 4J Studios title will be getting their hands the next update sooner than anyone might think. Lead Producer of Minecraft on Xbox 360 and Xbox One Roger Carpenter confirmed on April 1 that work has officially begun on Title Update 15.
Capenter announced that, unlike TU14 which added new content to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Minecraft, Title Update 15 won’t bring any new features to the game and will instead focus entirely on addressing in-game bugs. The lead producer also commented on a possible release window, saying that the developer hopes to launch the update quickly.
We're working on TU15, will be bug fixes only. Will be out as soon as we can.
4J Studios has adopted a staggering trend of content additions with Minecraft updates where the patches alternate between introducing new features or solely containing bug fixes. If this trend continues, then fans can expect for TU16 to be another content-rich update.
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is out now on Xbox Live. Despite the fact that Title Update 14 launched just last week, the developer hopes to release TU15 soon. Like all Minecraft patches, players can download the updates for free.
