The first screens and details have been revealed for the upcoming mash-up pack of “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.” According to a report by Play XBLA on Nov. 1, the upcoming DLC will be based on “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.”
The downloadable content expansion comes with a texture set that should imitate the look of the open-world action role-playing game. It would also include a new user interface, items used for crafting, themed menus, 40 characters skins along with pre-made worlds recreating the Whiterun, Riverwood, and Bleak Falls Barrow regions of “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.” You can check out some screens of the DLC, along with other shots of “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition,” in the slideshow near the top of this article and the details below (courtesy of Play XBLA):
Developed by 4J Studios, “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” Mash-Up features an exclusive Skyrim-themed texture set, 40 character skins, themed menus and user interface, craftable items, and more than 20 iconic selections from “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” original game soundtrack. The comprehensive pack also includes a stunning pre-made world, recreating the memorable areas of Whiterun, Riverwood, and Bleak Falls Barrow.
Players will be able to try out the new “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” mash-up pack by attending Minecon 2013. The convention takes place at Orlando, Florida. An official price tag and release date has not yet been provided for the downloadable content expansion.
Along with the DLC for “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition,” the 4J Studios development team is also working on porting the open-world sandbox title to the PS3, PS4, Playstation Vita and Xbox One platforms. The upcoming console versions will be based on the Xbox 360 port.
