4J Studios has provided another new piece of information regarding the mash-up pack feature that was introduced in the TU12 patch for “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.” According to a message from the Twitter page of the company on Aug. 28, a representative once again clarified the list of contents that will be included in the new type of downloadable content.
The individual stated that the mash-up pack is designed so that players will be able to customize “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition” into a different looking video game. Each downloadable content release will contain new music, skins, textures, user interface in addition to a themed world. You can take a look at the statement below (courtesy of the 4J Studios Twitter page):
For those asking - a Mash-up Pack makes Minecraft look like another game, so Textures + Skin Pack + User Interface + Music + Themed World
A fan then asked if the themed world is optional. The 4J Studios representative responded by stating that players will be able to create their “own worlds” with the upcoming mash-up packs. Alternatively, they could also load the themed world and customize from there. You can check out the response from Twitter below:
You can create your own worlds with the Mash-up pack, or load the Themed World and explore/edit it
The TU12 patch enables support for mash-up packs in “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.” 4J Studios has not yet revealed the first DLC release for the new feature due to some legal issues. You can check out a set of “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition” screenshots in the slideshow near the top of this article.
