The development team behind “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition” is currently seeking more help for their future projects. According to a report by Scottish Games on Oct. 4, 4J Studios will be hiring console programmers for their office located at East Linton in Scotland.

The company is looking to “shape the future of the insanely popular game across other platforms, both current and next generation.” In addition to continually updating “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition,” the development team is also porting the video game to the PS4 and Xbox One next-generation systems. You can check out some screenshots from the Xbox 360 port in the slideshow near the top of this article and the job description below (courtesy of Scottish Games):

We are currently looking for experienced Console programmers to join our East Linton office, working on Minecraft for current and next generation consoles. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years industry experience with at least one published console game to their name. In return we offer a competitive salary but more importantly, a friendly small-team working environment where your input really helps shape the product.

4J Studios recently developed the TU13 patch for “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.” The development team is also planning to release more downloadable content packs, such as the upcoming Battle and Beasts Skin Pack 2, for the current-generation port. You can check out some screenshots from the previous DLC releases in the slideshow near the top of this article.

“Minecraft” is expected to come out for the PS4 and Xbox One sometime during the launch periods of both next-generation systems. The PS3 and Playstation Vita versions, which do not have an official release date time frame, are also being worked on by 4J Studios.
