Microsoft and 4J Studios celebrated Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition crossing the 12 million copies sold milestone on Friday. However, along with the announcement came a sneak peak at the upcoming Candy Texture Pack.
The Candy Texture Pack will be made available to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition owners on April 18 according to the celebratory post at Xbox Wire. It's an extremely colorful pack with grass blocks that now look like slices of cake, ice cream cone bushes, jelly bean blocks and more.
Mojang's Daniel Kaplan teased the possibility of some future mash-up packs as well by pointing to the Marvel collaboration that featured the Avengers and other super heroes as a "great start and something we want to continue doing."
While the question on most Xbox fans is when is Minecraft: Xbox One Edition coming out, Kaplan didn't really have any news to share there beyond saying, "It is coming, eventually!" 4J Studios recently stated that there was still much work to do on the next-gen version of the game before it would be released.
Until then, expect Title Update 15 (TU15) to be released to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Minecraft within the next few days to fix bugs introduced with TU14 followed by another bug fix update at some point afterward.
