Minecraft working with LEGO on a Minecraft LEGO set

It seems as thought the virtual building block brand, Minecraft, the PC game, which will now be released on the Xbox 360, and the physical building block brand, LEGO, are joining forces. For every Minecraft and LEGO fan, this is a dream come true.

LEGO, already has a large amount of success producing sets of other popular video game franchises such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones.

Mojang, the creators of Minecraft, posted the idea on the LEGO CUUSOO site, where users can suggest their own concepts for creation:

"Minecraft is about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine in the virtual world. You can build anything you imagine with LEGO bricks in the physical world. Minecraft and LEGO were meant to be together."

Mojang received the support of 10,000 users for LEGO Minecraft, which will now "move the product from the idea stage, to the review stage", LEGO has said. Mojang has stated that if created, 1% of the proceeds from the LEGO sets will go to charity.

LEGO developers, designers, and product managers will now look at the product and examine the idea to decide if Minecraft will be made into LEGO sets. LEGO will take 1-2 weeks to reach a decision, and if LEGO Minecraft is approved, production will take months.
