4J Studios is now working on Title Update 14 for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition which will add new features to the game including Adventure Mode which alters the title to play more like a role-playing quest instead of a block-based architect simulator. According to a report by Eurogamer on Feb 18, the developer recently revealed a few things which have now been confirmed to be coming with TU14.
Alongside the previously announced additions, 4J Studios has now announced that the next title update for the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft will also introduce both trading mechanics and crafting anvils which are currently available in the PC version of the game. Trading adds economy to Minecraft as it allows players to barter with NPC villagers for emeralds, while anvils provide fans with the ability to combine different enchantments to items
Title Update 14 is currently in development for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition; however no release date has been set. While 4J Studios has thus far only talked about the features of TU14 as they pertain to the Xbox 360 version of the game, it is likely that the update is also heading to the Playstation 3 edition of Minecraft as the developer has made it clear that they intend to keep all console versions on the same update schedule. 4J Studios is also developing Minecraft editions on Xbox One, PS4, and PS Vita.
