When Patch 1.04 released for Minecraft: PS3 Edition last week, the update also prepared the game for the launch of its first four DLC add-ons. As detailed by the Playstation Blog on March 31, the first skin pack release adds licensed game characters to Minecraft from various Sony-exclusive titles.

Skin Pack 1, as the DLC is officially titled, gives fans the ability to change their in-game Minecraft avatar into various characters from fan-favorite PS3 games such as Uncharted, Sly Cooper, Heavy Rain, and Killzone. Similar skin packs have been previously released on the Xbox 360 version of the game which added skins based upon popular Microsoft brands such as Halo.

4J Studios' Minecraft: PS3 Edition is available now as a digital-only download via the PS Store. Patch 1.04, which includes all features from Title Update 14, is also available for download as are the game’s first four purchasable DLC packs.
