'Minecraft: Raspberry Pi' has officially released on the credit card sized PC (Photos)

A few months ago, Mojang announced that they would be bringing a new edition of “Minecraft” to a separate platform. The platform in reference is the credit card sized computer that takes on the name of Raspberry Pi. Today, Mojang announced that “Minecraft: Pi Edition” is now available to download for the Raspberry Pi.

The primary purpose for the release of this version of “Minecraft” is based around learning users to program. Through the use of “Minecraft: Pi Edition,” Mojang is reaching out to the educational sector in an effort to provide a product that will make learning to program an easy to access and fun outlet.
