4J Studios publicized earlier this week on Twitter that Minecraft would find its way to the PS4, Xbox One, and PS Vita some time in 2014. According to a report by NintendoEnthusiast from Dec. 25, they share new information which, potentially, reveals a more precise timescale as to when Minecraft: PS4 Edition along with Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and the PS Vita version will release.

According to the report, Minecraft: PS4 Edition will see release during the summer of 2014, placing a possible release date between June and Sept. of next year. For reference, Minecraft: Xbox 360 was released in May, 2012 with a retail release occurring in June, 2013. Find the full quote from NintendoEnthusiast below:

The projected release for all three systems is summer 2014.

Originally, 4J Studios announced Minecraft: PS4 Edition as a launch title for the PS4. As the PS4’s Nov. 15 launch neared, the studio announced the game would no longer be a launch game and have not yet announced a release date for the game.

On Dec. 24, 4J Studios took to Twitter to confirm a 2014 release for Minecraft: PS4 Edition along with the Xbox One and PS Vita version of the game. Find 4J Studios’ full comment below:
