The release dates have been prioritized in regards to the next "Minecraft PS3 Edition" patch as well as the upcoming launches of "Minecraft PS4 Edition" and "Minecraft Xbox One Edition." According to a report from The Fuse Joplin on July 17, the Fantasy Texture Pack and Cartoon Texture Pack are now available for the Xbox 360 version of the open-world sandbox video game. Both DLC expansions change the overall look of the title and cost $1 each. However, customers will be able to try out both visual filters for free although the saving feature is going to be disabled.
A majority of "Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition" DLC packs usually end up on the PS3 edition as well. 4J Studios recently confirmed that the Fantasy Texture Pack and Cartoon Texture Pack will be released on Sony's current-generation console. However, the release date for the next patch, which is required for the new expansions, has not yet been announced by the company.
The studio is prioritizing resources to the releases of "Minecraft PS4 Edition" and "Minecraft Xbox One Edition." The two next-generation games, along with the Vita installment, are due to arrive next month for multiple regions. The PS4 and Xbox One versions come with some improvements as the size of the worlds have been confirmed to be 32 times bigger when compared to the locations found in the PS3 and Xbox 360 video games. Furthermore, the saves could be imported to the next-generation consoles as well.
The aforesaid Fantasy Texture Pack and Cartoon Texture Pack will most likely end up on "Minecraft PS4 Edition" and "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" as players are able to transfer a majority of the expansions to other console ports. For now, the two DLC releases are exclusive to the Xbox 360 game. You can find a screenshot featuring the Cartoon Texture Pack from the 4J Studios Twitter page near the top side of this article.
