The upcoming DLC skin pack for “Minecraft PS3 Edition” has been compared to the same type of expansions from “Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition.” According to a report from Cinema Blend on March 13, more Sony Computer Entertainment characters are likely to be announced.
4J Studios recently hinted that Helghast, Nathan Drake and Sly Cooper will be added to the untitled DLC skin pack. Cinema Blend believed that more mascots will be announced as the development team has been releasing “45 skins each” for each expansion in “Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition.” The Xbox 360 version of the open-world sandbox video has previously received several exclusive skins based on the “Gears of War” and “Left 4 Dead” intellectual properties.
Not all of the “Minecraft PS3 Edition” DLC skins may not feature characters from Sony Computer Entertainment, however. The studio should mix the mascots with several “generic” costumes in a similar manner to the other console iteration. You can find a screen of the new expansion, along with other shots from the console release of “Minecraft,” in the slideshow to the left of this article.
An official release date for the new pack has not yet been disclosed by 4J Studios. The developer is currently busy with several projects such as the TU14 patch for “Minecraft PS3 Edition” and “Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition.” The company is also porting the software product to the PS4, Vita and Xbox One platforms.
