A representative from the development studio confirmed that the art team is currently creating several new DLC. He also teased that one of the expansions is related to food items with high sugar value while mentioning that it may end up being called “Candy Saga Texture Pack.” You can find some “Minecraft PS3 Edition” and “Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition” screens in the slideshow to the left of this article as well as the comments below:

Yes, our art team is working on some. One is a confectionery type one. We think Candy Saga Texture Pack is a good name for it ;)

The “Candy Saga Texture Pack” name may have been a joke regarding “Candy Crush Saga.” The developer of the popular social game,, recently filed a trademark for “candy.” As a result, video games and other types of products won’t be able to utilize the same word.

“Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition” came out in the middle of 2012 while “Minecraft PS3 Edition” was released approximately 18 months later in Dec. of 2013. With both console ports of “Minecraft” being virtually identical, 4J Studios would be able to release the same DLC packs on the two platforms going forward.

The same development team is also working on the PS4, Vita and Xbox One versions of the open-world sandbox title.
