The title update fixes audio, voice chat as well as other issues that were previously reported. The patch was first released in Australia, Europe and New Zealand regions. It would later arrived in North America on the same day. The small delay may have been due to the time zone differences as the development team was waiting for “some people in the US to wake up.”

The 1.02 patch won’t fix all of the problems in “Minecraft: PS3 Edition.” 4J Studios set up a thread at the “Minecraft” Forum so that players can report on any issues they encountered while playing through the Playstation 3 port. The community can provided details of the problems in two categories: bugs and oversight. 4J Studios will be monitoring the thread for future patches.

“Minecraft: PS3 Edition” has been available on the Playstation Store since Dec. 17. The software product was previously revealed to be virtually identical to “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.” You can find screenshots from both console ports of the open-world sandbox video game in the slideshow to the left of this article.
