The new patch should fix several issues that plagued the release of “Minecraft” on the Playstation 3. One of the glitches that will be addressed involves the loss of voice chat when another player decided to drop off of an online multiplayer session. You can find some screenshots of “Minecraft: PS3 Edition,” as well as some images of “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition,” in the slideshow located to the left of this article and the comments from the representative below:

Another patch for #MinecraftPS3 is in test. Should fix some of the issues being found. Now it's time for the 4J Christmas party!

In addition to the voice chat problems, players are also reportedly having trouble with gaining trophies and logging into the online servers. A patch was already released on the first day of launch for “Minecraft: PS3 Edition” as users have to download the title update upon booting the video game for the first time.

4J Studios should be releasing more patches for the Playstation 3 port to fix lingering issues in addition to updating the software product with new features. The title updates that add new contents should arrive at around the same time as the aforementioned “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.”
