Despite the fact that Title Update 14 was just released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Minecraft last week, 4J Studios is already hinting that they are about to begin work on TU15. The developer revealed on March 31 that they want to get the next update out for both console editions of the popular block-building game in addition to continuing to work on ridding the game of all bugs that were released alongside the previous update.
4J Studios admits that there is over a dozen known bugs that were introduced inside TU14 that they want to fix in addition to beginning work on the game’s next update.
Think there's about 15 [bugs] we want to fix quickly, and get another update out for PS3 and Xbox 360.
This is the first time that the developer mentioned their desire to work on another update. As such, it is unknown what features 4J studios plans to add to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and its PS3 counterpart that released last December. If past title updates are any indication, the update will likely bring content which was previously released in the PC version of the game.
Minecraft is available now on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade. Additionally, Minecraft: PS3 Edition can now be downloaded on the PS Store. 4J Studios is also working to launch next-gen versions of the game on both Xbox One and PS4.
