Earlier this morning, Jens Bergensten announced an exciting new feature for “Minecraft” that was revealed at Minecon. Delivered through his official Twitter account, Jeb confirms that a daylight sensor will be making its way into “Minecraft.” In addition to providing news of this feature, he has also delivered a new screenshot that showcases this feature in action, which can be seen in the slide-show featured above this article.
With this type of functionality being implemented within “Minecraft,” players will now have the ability to enable functions within the game based on the day and night cycle within the game world. This can be used in conjunction with items such as torches, as players will have the ability to activate torches as the sun sets, or turn them off as the sun rises.
Be sure to take a look at the slide-show above to see this new feature, as well as previously released screenshots for “Minecraft.” Currently, we do not have an estimated time-frame of when this feature will be released, but we will be sure to update you as news develops.
