Mindy McCready suicide: Mindy dead 1 month after boyfriend's suicide

Mindy McCready suicide has sadly been confirmed on Sunday night, as the country music singer who’s biggest hit came in 1996 has died this weekend.

According to Forbes, Mindy died from what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. McCready’s passing is especially sad, as she leaves behind her infant child.

McCready’s suicide, too, comes just one month following the death of her boyfriend. Mindy’s boyfriend, David Wilson, also died from suicide. The couple now leave behind a 9-month old son named Zayne.

Mindy, who died at just 37-years-old, had a sad history with mental health and substance abuse issues. It’s clear that McCready took the death of her boyfriend extremely hard, as she was pressured by her family to check into a rehab clinic less than two weeks before her death.

Now, Mindy’s personal website has been barraged by fans of the country singer. The website, in the hours following the announcement of her death, has actually crashed and is currently unable to be accessed at the moment.

Mindy McCready’s most popular song was “Guys Do It All the Time,” a track off the album Ten Thousand Angels. Mindy’s subsequent albums never were able to measure up in sales, however.
