The Mindy McCready suicide has shocked and saddened fans of the country music singer, as Forbes reported this Sunday, Feb. 17, that Mindy McCready killed herself through an alleged gunshot wound. Her brother confirmed the late singer’s death within the hour.
Mindy McCready’s suicide is a sad story in and of itself, as news of her death comes less than three weeks after the reported suicide of her boyfriend, David Wilson.
McCready was recently directed to check into a local rehab clinic ten days ago after her family expressed concerns following the apparent suicide of her Wilson. The talented country singer did have a history of substance abuse and mental health issues.
Along with her baby boy, Zayne, McCready leaves behind her other son, six-year-old Zander, who is also in foster care.
