Country singer Mindy McCready's death has been confirmed as a suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot, according to preliminary autopsy reports.
The 37-year old singer was found dead on February 17 at home on her front porch, the same place where her former boyfriend, David Wilson, had taken his own life one month before. Wilson was the father of McCready's youngest son who was in foster care at the time.
McCready put out five studio albums beginning with the double Platinum "Ten Thousand Angels" in 1996 and led a troubled life and had attempted suicide three before in 2005, 2008 and 2010. She has also been in trouble with the police on a number of occasions.
McCready's big break came in 1996 when she released "Guys Do it All the Time" which reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks. She leaves behind two sons, Zander Ryan and Zayne.
