What will happen to Mindy McCready’s sons now that the singer has passed away? In the days following Mindy’s suicide, questions about the children’s futures have been raised, Fox News reported on Feb. 20.
According to the report, McCready’s sons, Zander, 6, and Zayne, 10 months, were taken out of Mindy’s custody as she was ordered to rehab. The boys were placed in foster care, and their mother had not gotten them back after returning from treatment.
The singer’s father, Tim, pleaded with the judge to send his daughter to rehab, and filed papers claiming Mindy McCready’s sons were not being properly taken care of.
Mindy stayed for only a short while in rehab, and was found dead at her home on Sunday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Her death came just weeks after her youngest son’s father also committed suicide by gunshot.
Mindy’s father told the press that he’s working to get his grandsons out of foster care. Meanwhile, the singer’s mother may be the lead contender to end up with custody of at least one, or both, of McCready’s sons.
What are your thoughts on the future of Mindy McCready’s sons? Who do you think she raise them?
