Mindy McCready commits suicide at age 37

Heart-wrenching news blazed the media on Sunday, Feb. 17 that Multi-platinum country singer, Mindy McCready committed suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to her head at her home in Herber Springs, AR, according to Y! Music. She leaves behind, two sons age 6 and 9 months.

A little over a month ago, Jan. 13, Mindy McCready’s boyfriend, David Wilson was found dead in his home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. McCready’s father says that she had been depressed every since – stating that she hadn't bathed nor taken care of her sons.

At the young age of 18, McCready produced a multi-platinum album, “Ten Thousand Angels,” and “Guys Do It All The Time,” became the hit single.

Much of McCready’s life has been muddied with trouble. A chain of suicide attempts, over-doses, alcohol abuse and abusive relationship have plagued her life.

The two bright spots in her life were sons, Zander and Zayne.

In 2010, you may recall, she appeared on Celebrity Rehab; Dennis Rodman was another celebrity star on the show at that time.

Just this month, family and friends noticed the frail mental condition she was in, and she was ordered by a judge to get some help. The judge cited that “she was a danger to herself.”

Our heart breaks for McCready’s children; a life gone too soon.
