Mindy McCready lost her life partner and the father of her son on Sunday night. David Wilson died at her home in Herber Springs, Ark. where it appears he may have committed suicide, according to E! News on Jan 14.
The Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office said he reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound according to the New York Daily News. Wilson was pronounced dead at the hospital where he was transported by emergency personnel.
McCready and Wilson have been together for about two years and lived together in Herber Springs, Ark. McCready released a statement on Monday saying that Wilson was her soulmate and caregiver for both of their sons.
Mindy McCready and David Wilson have one child together, nine month old son Zayne. McCready also has another son, Zander, by country music singer Billy McKnight. No funeral arrangements have been made yet but they will likely be held in Arkansas since that is where the couple resided.
