On February 17, 2013, Cleburne County Sheriff Deputies responded to a call regarding gunshots coming from country music singer, Mindy McCready's home. When they arrived, officers found McCready dead on her front porch. It was the same place that her boyfriend was found dead a month earlier. The singer died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
"Sometimes we need help from somewhere else, from beyond. I'm not afraid of the supernatural anymore." Mindy McCready spoke out about a paranormal encounter on Bio's Celebrity Ghost Stories that she had in a Scotland hotel in the late 1990s.
After finding ex-boyfriend, Dean Cain's journal, McCready remembers hearing footsteps and seeing strange shadows in the hotel room. When she began to read the book, the flames in the fireplace seemed like they were alive. "It was like breath coming from the fire. Everything in that room was telling me you have to look at the book." The country music singer said.
McCready asked the hotel staff if the place was haunted and the employees confirmed that it was. Allegedly, the hotel was a monastery and has nuns buried beneath the property. "I threw the book in the fireplace and it burned with intense vibrant light. It was exactly what i needed to read."
A haunted Mindy McCready has given up to the ghosts of her rough past.
