On Feb. 17, Mindy McCready was found dead of an apparent suicide according to many sources including Fox.. This death comes just a little more than the death of David Wilson, who was the father of her youngest child and who had died at the hand of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
After her partner's death, which was also an apparent suicide, the country singer talked about her loss, saying she she had "never gone through anything this painful."
She stated, "[David] didn’t just touch my heart, he touched my soul.”
McCready made this admission during an interview on "Dateline" that aired Jan. 29. Then, a week later after she said she had nothing to do with Wilson's death, Mindy's two kids were taken from her home. The singer was then admitted into a dual-diagnosis treatment center that deals with mental health, alcohol abuse and drug abuse issues.
Meanwhile, Mindy's father stated via court documents that after David Wilson died, his daughter spent all day every day in bed. He commented in the official document, "Sleeps all day. Drinks all night and is taking Rx drugs. Not bathing or even helping take care of her two children (sic).”
By way of background, this is not the first time Mindy McCready attempted suicide. She did so two times prior, tried rehab several times and appeared on Dr. Drew's "Celebrity Rehab"three years ago to try to get clean.
Now Mindy McCready has been pronounced dead at the age of 37. According to an E! News source, the celebrated singer's body was discovered in Heber Springs, Ark. The source also said she may have shot herself.
That said, the circumstances of this talent's death are sketchy but this story is still breaking so stay tuned.
RIP, Mindy McCready, RIP.
