It is being reported via Twitter and several other news organizations that Country Singer Mindy McCready committed suicide this evening by shooting herself in the head.
Per the Fox 17 website: Country music singer Mindy McCready has committed suicide, according to FOX 17 and multiple other reports.
Stacy McCloud, a reporter at FOX 17 in Nashville, tweeted:
“A close family friend of Mindy McCready has informed me that the country singer has committed suicide.”
This information is being tweeted by family members. In recent years Mindy has made headlines because of bad relationships, domestic abuse, child custody abductions and drug and alcohol abuse.
She has clearly been a tortured soul for years and I hope she can somehow now find some peace.
