According to TMZ on Feb. 17, country singer Mindy McCready is dead. She was 37 years old. She died of an apparent suicide in Heber Springs, Ark.
Earlier in January, Mindy McCready's youngest child's father, record producer David Wilson, died of suicide as well. He was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. On Feb. 6, her two kids were removed from her home by a court order. McCready spent two days in a mental health center being treated for alcohol abuse.
According to court documents her father stated that "since boyfriend (David Wilson) shot himself she has been in bed for three weeks. Sleeps all day. Drinks all night and is taking rx drugs. Not bathing or even helping take care of her two children."
Mindy McCready leaves behind two sons; Zander who is six years old and Zayne who is nine months old. David Wilson was the father of Zayne who now has no father or mother.
McCready's last album was released in 2010.
