Country music's Mindy McCready's funeral will be held today (Feb. 26), in her hometown of Ft. Myers, Fl. at Crossroads Baptist Church according to news reports.
McCready, 37, died on Sunday, Feb. 17 (2013) from a gunshot to the head, which was ruled an apparent suicide. McCready's dog was also found dead, from a gunshot. Her body was found on the porch at her home in Arkansas.
McCready had just been released from a rehabilitation center following the death of her boyfriend. McCready had been questioned by police after his death, but no charges had been filed.
McCready has two sons, which were placed in state custody after her death.
The blonde beauty made it big in country music with her big hit single and album, "Ten Thousand Angels." The album sold over 2 million copies.
McCready's career spiraled down after personal problems started for the singer in the 2000's. Although she released another album later, her career never got back on track.
A memorial is also planned for McCready in Nashville, Tn. in March.
