Mimi Faust films PSA to stop violence against women

"Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" star Mimi Faust is appearing in a new ad with the goal of stopping violence, particularly hate crimes against women.

In video below Faust goes under a dramatic transformation while discussing hate crimes against women and how you can help.

"I am here to help take the power away from hate crimes. I am here to build up those who have been broken down," says Faust. "I am here to help stop the hurt."

The campaign is part of a new initiative spearheaded by Saving Our Daughters, a non profit organization that works with late teens and young adults. Through critical learning tools and very eager adult allies (like songstress K.Michelle and entrepreneur Mimi Faust), young participants are equipped with heightened awareness of self worth issues and immediate ways to create positive impact in their own communities.

Oluremi "Mimi" Faust, an entrepreneur, is the long-time girlfriend of Stevie J and the devoted mother of his two-year old daughter, Eva.

Faust appears on "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta," airing Monday nights at 8 p.m. on VH1.
