She's known for putting her matchmaking skills to the test on the TV show, The Millionaire Matchmaker, and helping single, wealthy men find a compatible mate. Well now Patti Stanger is sharing her favorite fashion tips for single ladies who are interested in finding love this holiday season.
Patti, who's used to giving brutally honest feedback about attire and appearance to the guests on her hit reality show, candidly shared her fashion insight with the Examiner at the Hollywood in Bright Pink celebrity charity event.
"One of the things you have to do is you have to take yourself to the next level," said Stanger. She believes women need to invest in making themselves appealing to potential suitors. "I would definitely get your first LBD if you don’t have it." LBD is Patti's way of saying "little black dress."
And what color is sure to turn a few heads? According to Patti that color is Red! "Red is the signature color men pay attention to."
Patti also insists that every woman should have a sexy pair of shoes in her closet that she calls the "man-catcher, pointy-toe heels." She emphatically declares that the "pointy-toe heel elongates the leg and men go crazy!"
Patti says another surefire way to keep the men going wild is to sport the "come-and-get-me dress, the v-neck that shows the cleavage with the girls out, or the mini skirt with the push up bra." The matchmaking guru stated, "These things go a long way."
Patti also mentioned that men notice everything including a woman's underwear. "Shapewear has gotten so sexy lately that I take off my dress and my boyfriend thinks it's another outfit. So you really have to pay attention to the details."
And then there are those times where less truly is more. "Less jewelry so he knows what to buy you. I always tell women to wear one or two things except when coming to an event," commented Stanger who has a jewelry line launching this month.
You can catch both Patti and her new jewels on the latest season of The Millionaire Matchmaker, which airs on Bravo. That's where you're sure to find her dishing out love advice, giving fashion critiques and simply 'telling it like it is.'
