Tonight's Bravo episode of "Millionaire Matchmaker," is titled “The Running Man; Great Expectations.”
As the episode begins, Patti gets a visit from Omar Soliman, a former client who introduced Patti to his new wife. He has a friend named Joe, who he is sure Patti can help.
As Patti’s male assistants are busy working on her blog, Marisa has the name of Frank Cerino, an attorney from Boca Raton, Fla. who sounds like a control freak who expects every woman to be perfect. Justin has Joe Bayen, originally from Cameroon, raised in Paris, a world traveler, with a net worth of $40 million, and in need of her help.
She goes to meet with Joe first, in his awesome apartment. He has had about three serious relationships, and now is ready to settle down. Patti asked him if he was willing to put love first? This is a tough question for someone who is a globetrotter with very little free time. She told him that she wanted to have a bikini social, so make sure he had some nice bathing suits.
Marisa brought in Frank Cerino to meet with Patti. After viewing his video resume, she told him point blank, that he was no Leonardo DiCaprio, and should lower his expectations. She even said at 45, he is way too old to be expecting perfection. He already dumped women for snoring, talking too much, butts too big, butts too small, breasts too big, breasts too small, etc. She called him Shallow Hal, and he was not expecting to be spoken to by a woman like that. She subsequently gave him homework; to call the top three women whom he liked and apologize to them and tell them why he broke up with them. If he does this, then Patti will know that he is truly ready to change his ways and wants a serious relationship.
Next, Patti had to find women for the bikini mixer. She found some real beauties that would be both perfect for Joe and Frank. But Marisa came to give Patti the last minute news that Frank was not coming. Guess he did not plan to change his ways after all! Patti called him a f**king pussy.
Because Frank chickened out, she introduced Joe to the twenty women. The women loved Joe, and even the women Patti chose for Frank liked him. Joe chose Natalie, a third-year law student for his date.
Patti saw one of the women named Yolibeth at the mixer, and she immediately thought of Teague Egan. Patti likes him, even though he is a matchmaker’s nightmare. She questioned him about his recent relationships, and he told her that he slept with four women in the last year. Patti made him promise to follow his rule and not to have sex, unless he had monogamy for three months.
Joe and Natalie had a beach volleyball lesson and had some fun, while Natalie learned. Then they challenged another couple and had lots of fun together. When they were finished on the beach, he had one more surprise for her.
While Patti and her boyfriend, David chaperoned for Teague and Yolibeth’s date, they met at Cook LA, and got cooking lessons to make gluten-free pasta.
On the beach, Joe had strawberries and Cristal all ready for Natalie. He showed her how to properly pour champagne; the chemistry seemed to be there between the two of them.
When the four were eating, Teague disclosed that he was training for the Boston Marathon, to give back to the city of Boston for the victims of the bombing in 2013. He asked Yolibeth to run with him, and she agreed. She originally thought he was a typical LA guy, but she started to connect with him. During the meal they made, he mentioned going out later with friends, and both Patti and David agreed, that it was a bad move. So they will be alone.
Joe took Natalie to a French Bistro; it was not the ritziest place, but they had a great time. He admired her intelligence, and she admired his honesty. He came from humble beginnings, and they agreed that they would like to build an empire together.
Before Teague came to the office, Patti spoke to Yolibeth, who had a great time and wants to see him again. Her birthday is Saturday and is hoping to see him then. When Teague walked in, he told Patti that they had been in touch and said that they would see each other this weekend. Patti told him Saturday was her birthday, and he did not know. So she gave him suggestions and now she hopefully, can put this matchmaking nightmare aside.
Patti called Natalie, and she was very excited that the date went well. They both asked if he kissed her, but a hug was the best she got. Natalie is going to Vegas, and they will be meeting there. When Joe walked in with flowers for Patti, he was a happy man. He did not kiss her, but told Patti that he would be meeting her in Vegas.
Joe and Natalie are still in touch, but romance is on hold, as Natalie is in Michigan finishing law school.
Teague learned so much from his practice date; he has begun dating someone new. He won’t say if he’s made it past the “no sex before monogamy” mark.
Patti has not heard back from Frank, her runaway millionaire. He is back in Florida and still very single.
