Million Dollar Quartet opens at the Aronoff tonight

Million Dollar Quartet will open tonight, on Tuesday, February 19 at Cincinnati’s Aronoff Center for the Arts. The production will be in town through Sunday, March 3.

With the musical, audience members will have a chance to enjoy the music of Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash as the talented cast members bring their songs and story to life.

Million Dollar Quartet is inspired by the true story of the famed recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time on December 4, 1956.

The production features a collection of hits featuring “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Walk The Line,” “Hound Dog,” Great Balls of Fire,” “Fever,” “That’s Alright,” “Folsom Prison Blues” and many more.

In June, Cincinnati audiences had two exclusive preview opportunities to see the cast of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet – One at the Great American Ball Park before a game and another at a lunchtime performance at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grille at the Banks, which was hosted by Q102's Brian Douglas. Million Dollar Quartet is part of Broadway in Cincinnati 2012-2013 season.

Show times are at 8 p.m. from Tuesdays to Saturdays and 6:30 p.m. on Sundays. Matinee performances are at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. on Sundays.

The show runs one hour and 30 minutes with no intermission. Tickets start at $28. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased in person at the Broadway in Cincinnati Box Office downtown in the Mercantile Center at 120 East 4th Street, or online at www.BroadwayInCincinnati.com and at www.ticketmaster.com, or by phone at (800) 982-2787.
