IHRA champ Clay Millican joins the Bob Vandergriff Racing Top Fuel family with backing from Parts Plus through the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.
Millican has 51 Top Fuel wins in IHRA competition (most in IHRA history) along with six-straight titles in the series. He qualified for 22 of the 23 events in 2012 with MPE Motorsports, with whom he has raced with since 2008.
“Our goal has been to add a full-time team to complement our C&J Energy Services team, and we are finally able to do that,” said Bob Vandergriff Jr., who won the NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas late in the 2012 season. “To compete on an even playing field with the other elite teams, we knew a second team was paramount to our success. Bringing Parts Plus with their entire network to our program and having the ability to bring a great driver and fan favorite like Clay to our team is a huge plus for us.”
