Mill Dog Manifesto

(c) Kyla Duffy Happy Tails Books

You have seen the horrible stories about puppy mills and how the poor dogs and puppies are treated. You have seen the pictures. But do you really know what happens to a puppy mill dog? Do you know what happens to a dog once they can no longer be bred? Maybe you want to adopt a puppy mill dog that has gone to a rescue, do you know what to expect? Do you know what to do and how to react to this type of dog? Kyla Duffy puts together books on different breeds that are strictly rescue dogs. She created Happy Tails Books and has generated numerous books on several breeds. A portion of the proceeds goes to rescues that are associated with the breed of that book. For example: If the book was on Pugs then the donations go to Pug rescues throughout the country.

Kyla has seen a great rise in puppy mill dogs and has seen the need for a book to help better explain about these dogs and what to expect. Different websites explain this as well but usually in technical terms. Kyla’s book “Mill Dog Manifesto” offers an easy to read explanation of what a pet parent would need to know and allow them to have a better understanding of where this dog came from and what things they may have endured. It explains how to handle certain situations and gives you more insight to help you become a better pet parent for a puppy mill dog. The great thing about this book is it is FREE. Just click the “Mill Dog Manifesto” link above and fill in the information requested and you will be prompted to download your free e-book.

This quote is taken from her book in the beginning introduction, “I hope that after reading this you’ll feel inspired to join me in “voting” with our dollars for change by only supporting stores that do not sell animals and only obtaining pets from rescues organizations or breeders who are indisputably breeding for the betterment of the breed.” –Kyla Duffy, Happy Tails Books Editor In Chief
