Milk and Cookie Shots: Cronut inventor creates the next great combo dessert

When Dominique Ansel created the Cronut, people thought he was crazy and that it would never work or be popular. They were incredibly wrong and that's why his latest creation is getting even more attention. As ABC News reported on March 6, 2014, Ansel has created the Milk and Cookie Shot, and one little picture is taking the world by storm.

That's right. Ansel revealed an image of three little chocolate chip cookie shot glasses (totally edible), filled them with milk, took a picture of them, and posted it on Instagram.

With that, the the Internet went nuts.

It's a simple concept of just drinking the ice cold milk and then eating your cookie shot glass. Many have to wonder why this hasn't been done before. It is likely that someone will say they have done it, but for now, the idea and creation belongs to Dominique Ansel.

Ansel said he created the new dessert when he sampled his first-ever Oreo, which was just a few weeks ago. Once he had an Oreo, Answel had the "extra-aerated" cookie dough backed in a cylindrical mold, and that was it.

Unfortunately, it's not going to be available to everyone just yet.

“As of right now it’s exclusively for SXSW,” a spokesperson said.

The Milk and Cookie Shots are going to be sampled at the SXSW Allison+Partners event on Sunday, March 9, 2014, in Austin, Texas. Ansel is going to be present at the event and he will also be making cronuts for those in attendance.

There's no word on when, or if, the Milk and Cookie Shots will be made available to all that want them, but the hope is there.
