Military job fairs and hiring conferences are a great way for veterans and military service members to search for new opportunities. Here are a few events during the month of April.
Orion International Consulting Group will be available for a hiring conference in Houston on April 14 and 15th. This is a unique event since attendance is by invitation only so you have a private interview with hiring managers. This is prearranged based on your skills and background and job preferences. There is no fee to attend the hiring conference.
Austin will be hosting "Hiring our Heroes" on April 16, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex located at 1156 Hargrave Street. Job seekers include reserve members and military spouses as well as active duty military. Do the online registration form and see the link above for the list of sponsors, including the local Chambers of Commerce. There will be workshops before the job covering topics on resume building and interview skills. Hiring for Heroes has partnered with Military.com as a nationwide effort so look at the calendar and location listings.
Fort Hood Texas is holding a Military.com NCOA Career Expo on April 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The location will be at Club Hood Building 5764 at 24th Street & Wainwright Drive. Register online before the event for all the details and instructions.
