Circle your calendar for February 14th.
Of course, that is Valentine's Day so you should have that date in mind already. But there is another reason to keep that date circled. If you are a military veteran here in San Antonio or plan to transition from active duty to civilian life, there is a job fair called "Veteran Opportunity Expo" that will be held at the Alamodome from 11a.m. till 3 p.m on Feb. 14, 2013.
The recruitment firm called "RecruitMilitary" is bringing this hiring event to our city and USAA will be sponsoring it.
Those invited to join include veterans with work experience, those making the move from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves plus military spouses.
The variety of companies represented will include over 45 employers such as: Home Depot, USAA, Chevron Corporation, State Farm, Lockheed Martin, Trident University, Bell Helicopter, Walgreens, Baker Hughes, Military Sealift Command, C.R. England Inc., First Command Financial Planning, The Geo Group Inc., Silverleaf Resorts Inc. and many other exhibitors. There will be various colleges and organizations participating also including "Troops to Teachers".
Other major cities are also planning a job expo over the next several months, including Dallas on March 7th and Chicago April 25th and Houston April 4th. So check the schedule of upcoming dates and register online with the link above.
Good luck to all job seekers and thank you to all our military for your support of our country.
