In honor of the 30th anniversary of the movie A Christmas Story the Woodlawn Theatre has brought back one of its most popular shows in an all new musical production. It runs until Sunday December 29 but this Thursday December 19 the theatre is hosting its first military appreciation night with half price tickets.

Showtime is at 7:30p.m. and those with a current, active duty military ID and their families can purchase tickets for $11.50 for adults and $7.50 for children. Tickets are on sale online or by calling the box office at 210-267-8388.

A Christmas Story is set in a small Indiana town in the 1940s and centers on 9-year old Ralphie and his search for the best Christmas present known to mankind. All he wants is the legendary official Red Ryder 200 Shot Carbine Action Range Model Air Rifle.

He comes up with several schemes to convince his parents to get it for him but he’s always told that “you’ll shoot your eye out.” He tries to convince his mother, his teacher and a department store Santa but he gets the same response from everyone. Now is the perfect time to bring the family together to enjoy this family friendly musical.
