Designer Olivier Rousteing presented his stunning military-inspired Balmain Womenswear Fall 2014 collection for Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Fall/Winter 2014-2015 on February 27, 2014 in Paris, France.
Teamed with Balmain’s autumnal military style pieces in shades of olive drab are animal prints such as leopard and zebra in the way of jackets and accessories.
In particular, a military-inspired olive peplum waisted skirt suit, that’ll work well as separates, was teamed with Rousteing’s black and white zebra print belt, while a leopard print skirt was paired with a lovely black leather utility tunic style jacket. Footwear in the Balmain Fall 2014 collection is predominantly black boots, with and without laces.
A sharp-looking olive drab leather jacket with four militaristic utility pockets is teamed with silky olive utility pants. Even a pewter colored evening one-shoulder pantsuit has utility pockets!
Dressier favorites in this collection include a gold-trimmed zebra jacket, the coral dress with gold detailing, and the stunning gold dress.
Attending the Balmain show in style were several fashionistas including Anna Dello Russo, Pucci designer Peter Dundas, Giovanna Battaglia, Franca Sozzani, Miroslava Duma and princess Sirivannavari Nariratana of Thailand.
