Back in June, Milford, PA held its annual music festival, the Milford MusicFest. Three days of music and food and an atmosphere of fun and excitement. It was a success for Milford Borough. Lots of people had a great time and there was some pretty amazing musical talent featured at the many venues around town. Including the Pete Seeger concert at the Milford Theatre. It may not have been the huge success businesses may have wanted on the days of the festival. But it paid off in the long run by opening the doors for more visitors over the summer.
Now the Milford Music Festival group is bringing back that same atmosphere of fun and excitement for a one day only music festival style event – sort of a MusicFest redux or a way to bookend the summer with music. However you look at it, it means more music and and good food for residents and visitors alike.
From live broadcasts by local radio station WYNY and WDLC to an R J Storm concert at the Milford Theatre (the only event that will cost money - $10 for tickets or $20 for BIP tickets which includes an after party event with the band), Milford will be once more reverberating with the sounds of rock and jazz and blues and Irish ballads.
SeptemberFest, as the event has been named, will take place on Sunday September 15 – with the earliest music beginning at 11 AM. From the east end of town at the Columns Museum to the western edge at the Lumberyard, and all places in between, Milford will once again be the center of attention for all things music.
