Marc Jacobs is one designer who has always lived his life in the limelight. His successful fashion career has shaped his whole being and you can find his fashions in 80 different countries worldwide. He has won over ten awards for his strong creativity and from 1997 to 2013, Jacobs was head creative director for the French Fashion House of Louis Vuitton. Now he devotes most of his time to his own brand.
Jacobs continues to think out of the box, always keeping his fans guessing what his next move might be. With the newest Spring 2014 campaign, comes a new muse for Marc Jacobs. Larger than life and drawing attention in all aspects of her star-studded life, Miley Cyrus puts on her fashion face to star in Marc Jacobs' ads. There sits Miley, perched atop a mound of sand on a darkened beach with model Natalie Westling lying to her side. In the distance can be seen model Esmerelda Seay Reynolds.
Although the look is very intriguing, it is a side to Miley that is unrecognizable. Katie Grand was the stylist for the photo shoot, the silent success behind the photo shoot. David Sims was the photographer behind the camera capturing it all on film. Although Juergen Teller is the loyal photographer for most of Marc Jacobs' shoots, this was one he chose not to do.
Thinking back, this really isn't a new partnership for the young star and the famed designer. She posed nude for Jacobs' T-shirt campaign , "Protect The Skin You Are In." At the Met Gala last May, she stepped out in a Marc Jacobs fishnet gown. She is almost a fixture in the front row of many of his fashion shows. Last October, she presented Robert Duffy and Marc Jacobs with 'The Superstar Award' at the Fashion Group International's Night of Stars Gala'.
So perhaps there truly is someone that understands this complicated celebrity seen in quite a different light by the dedicated designer.
