Miley Cyrus, in her VMA performance on Sunday night, demonstrated her propensity toward garnering fans with the shock value. Not unlike celebrities like Howard Stern, and his Private Parts, Cyrus let it all hang out and left little to the imagination of the audience.
For anyone who still values the snuggly aspects of teddy bears and cuddly moments, Miley's performance is probably not the performance for them. As Mashable reports, "Watch Miley Cyrus' Childhood-Ruining VMAs Performance."
In the past, sex symbols like Marilyn Monroe were able to allow the audience to connect the dots, using their good looks with their talent to draw in that audience. It seems Cyrus did the thinking for her audience, right down to the inclusion of the foam finger act.
The audience had mixed reactions, from the adoring looks of the next generation of teen girls following in Cyrus' footsteps, to that of Rihanna, as reported by Huffington Post. Quite a contrast to that of Cyrus' father, Billy Ray and his performances. If Miley is attempting at differentiating her career from her father's, it would seem she may be on her way to success in that endeavor.
Is this the senior Cyrus' only remark regarding his daughter's performance?
Thanking God for so many blessings tonight. Continue to pray for world peace. More love ...less hate.

Others tend to be thinking about Billy Ray more than the world peace part.

Is Miley one to "watch?" Now there is the opportunity to see it all and make an informed decision.
