Miley Cyrus apparently isn’t a fan of whipping her hair back and forth. The singer used to rock luscious locks with quite a bit of length, but according to a Feb. 6 report by Us Weekly, she regrets keeping her hair long for so long. In fact, Miley has vowed that she’s never going to let her short hairstyle grow out.
Miley Cyrus made the claim about her mane while complaining about extensions. So many Hollywood starlets rely on extensions to add length and volume to their locks, but Miley hates the trend. She thinks that it’s “creepy” to have hair “sewn into your head. Miley also said that she loves having short hair because she doesn’t have to wash it since it looks best when it’s “grungy.”
You will never see me with long hair again! My fiance [Liam Hemsworth] loves it. It's so much easier to go shave the sides once a week rather than getting your roots done when you have long hair. I feel like when you have short hair, the messier it is, the better it looks.
It’s probably hard for Liam Hemsworth to say anything negative about Miley Cyrus’ short hair. Unlike his brother Chris Hemsworth, Liam likes to keep his hair pretty short, so he knows how easy a close-cut style is to maintain.
Hopefully Liam Hemsworth is telling the truth about how he feels about Miley’s pixie cut, because she hates extensions so much that she had this to say about seeing photos of herself with long hair: “I do not like it. I wish someone would have ripped them out of my head because the extension thing is just so not cute! I hate it.”
If Miley stars to secretly miss her long locks, she could always throw on the old “Hannah Montana” wig. And just because her hair is short, it doesn’t mean that she’ll be stuck with the same style forever. She can always get it cut differently or change her hair color.
Only time will tell if Miley actually sticks to her vow to stay short, but at least for now she remains a big style inspiration for her fans by bucking the long hair trend.
