Hannah Montana superstar Miley Cyrus is said to be the worst celebrity influence of 2009, according to a new poll by AOL's JSYK.com.
The singer-actress combo ranked #1 in the poll, completed by young teens who voted who they thought was the worst celeb influence of the year.
Other top rankers included Britney Spears who came in #2 and Kanye West who ranked third.
JSYK.com wrote in their release, "Unlike other awards, there are no acceptance speeches (you're welcome, Taylor Swift) and, due to some budget concerns, there aren't any award statues either..."
Adding, "The winners simply get the satisfaction of knowing how popular they are and the losers can post sad faces on their Twitters. :("
Except for #1 Worst Celebrity Influence of 2009 Miley who recently deleted her Twitter account, despite fans' regrets to have her return.
Miley's year has been full of controversy, from magazine photo shoots allegedly not fit for a teen and pole-dancing episodes, the star has had to cancel recent concerts for being sick. Recent photos of sister Noah in a risque Halloween costume fanned the flames to Cyrus critiques, but are fans going too far in saying she's the worst? More than Britney Spears and Kanye West?

Doesn't smoke or do drug. Doesn't drink or go to bars. Dosen't use profanity. Doesn't lash out at haters or the Paps. Isn't sleeping around. Hasn't shown any more of her body for a teen girl than anyone would see on a beach. Doesn't have a eating disorder.
Loves animals. Is nice to her fans and takes time to talk to them. Spend as much time as any star her age doing charity work and has donated as much money to charity as all her peers combined. Everyone who has spent any time with her or worked with her say she is nice, down to earth, and fun, and a true professional. They say she doesn't act like a Diva and in fact she is more likely to do something for the crew than to have them do something for her. She keeps herself fit and healthy. Promote good body image. Is honest and up front, speaks her mind.
The only bad thing that I know of is she dresses like most girls her age, and she dates guys who are 4 years or less older than her. Big deal.
So how is she a bad role model??
Stan is right. This girl has inspired me to be courageous in what I do in life and shoot for the stars. I think this poll is downright WRONG
Her pole dancing rutine - now was that really pole dancing she skipped around a bar give me a break!! People are so judgemental - cracks me up!!! GO Miley !!!:)
how is she a bad role model? she's a brat, she thinks she's the IT celebrity (she went to the oscars and the REAL actors and actresses were like "...uh what?" at her dress...looked like she was either getting married or thought she was the star of the show).
when it comes to disney channel, selena gomez is the ONLY one worth looking up to. miley needs to be put in her teeny place and stop being a brat.
She post half naked pictures of herself on the internet. She has a tatoo at 17 and her parents are ok with that. She can get away with dressing like she is a stripper. She is truly the WORST influence. Everyone thinks she is so sweet and she isn't she is very rude and unkind. She shouldn't be on disney and she cannot sing! Thank god, she is off disney when she turns 18! She is like half naked on the show. It's like sombody get her a pole! I don't know how Disney is letting her make kids clothes and a show . She should be locked away and become what she was before a nice person! She should go back to a dressy blouse and jeans intead of a bearly there dress. Somebody should tell her she cannot act or sing or dance. her new movie the last song isn't even her movie and she stunk in it! Just my opionion so don't take too literally or serouslly or whatever ok bye.
