Let’s face it, 2013 was the year of Miley Cyrus. Love her or hate her, the 21-year-old brought in 2014 with an unexpected PG-13 performance of “Adore You” and “Wrecking Ball” on Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.
Days before her performance, there were jokes circulating that she would ride the famous New Years ball in Time Square to mimic her video for “Wrecking Ball”. Although she touched herself, a little, during her song, “Adore You”, Cyrus gave a safe performance as the crowd sang along.
To keep herself warm, Cyrus sported a huge white fur coat. This makes a lot of sense because she tweeted earlier in the day that she was under the weather and said, “this cough/cold is not a good combo. please keep praying for me. If I can just get thru tonight I can have a nice lil break.”
To top it off, co-host, Jenny McCarthy sang along and playfully licked a hammer during Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” performance.
Cyrus must have felt pretty good about her performance because she tweeted, “They missed our New Years kiss @RyanSeacrest.”
Do you think that 2014 will bring more success for the former Hannah Montana star?
