Miley Cyrus does it again, the queen of shock released the artwork for the third single off her Bangerz album and she’s about to shock the masses. This time around it’s not the amount of skin exposed that’s offering up a shock value and Miley isn’t seductively licking an inanimate object. The shocking surprise here is that the artwork for “Adore You” is simple by Miley standards!
As Yahoo Shine suggests on Dec. 19, the simplicity of the artwork for “Adore You” is shocking on its own because it is so out of character for Cyrus’ lately. The Disney kid who went all out trying to prove she’s an adult after her “Hannah Montana” years has settled on a modest display this time around.
The picture for her third single off her new album, “Adore You” is actually thought provoking. It denotes a somber mood with the bottom half of Miley’s face seen behind a wilted bouquet of pink roses.
The artwork for “Adore You” is simple, but hints at a feeling of melancholy. The faded and wilting roses, which are turning brown around the edges, take up the majority of the image. This is done against the backdrop of Miley’s lips that are almost in a pouting position and sporting a pastel hue instead of bright red, which is her usual lately. This image has a story, but it is one only Miley knows right now.
This, slow and seemingly haunting tune will no doubt tell its story in a music video that will most likely accompany this single release. “Adore You” is already a favorite of her fans and you can expect to have it take over the radio air waves on Jan. 6, when its released as the third single off Bangerz.
