Just before midnight on October 7, singer Miley Cyrus posted a tweet on Twitter announcing that her newly released album “Bangerz” had reached the number one spot on iTunes 10 minutes before it was supposed to be released.
In her tweet Cyrus wrote:
“OMG OMG OMG #bangerz is #1 I love you all so F*****G much! I wanna squeeze everyone of you.”
While “Bangerz” opened with a strong showing on iTunes it quickly fell down the charts. At the time of this publication “Bangerz” was listed at number 85 on the iTunes charts. However, that doesn't mean it isn't a success for Cyrus. Two of the song titles featured on “Bangerz” “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can't Stop” are still listed in the top ten songs and videos on iTunes.
In early September “Wrecking Ball” landed Cyrus in seven number one spots including the top spot on the Billboards Hot 100 and VEVO. You can watch the “Wrecking Ball” VEVO video on YouTube.
“Bangerz” is available for download on iTunes for $13.99.
