Lady Gaga who?
With a parade of giant teddy bears dancing around her, Cyrus performed her hit summer single "We Can't Stop" at the VMAs in a racy silver sequin leotard with an image of a bear sticking his tongue out.
There was a lot of skin, plenty of twerking, and a crotch grab or two. Cyrus' dance moves were a clear departure from her "Hannah Montana" days.
When she reached the end of her song, the singer stripped down to a flesh-toned latex bra and matching underwear and began to perform "Blurred Lines" alongside Robin Thicke, using a foam hand in a sexual manner and then bending over and grinding her backside into Thicke's crotch.
It was definitely one of the night's most talked-about moments, with some fans expressing shock and others applauding the pop singer's wild antics.
Billboard's Editorial Director, Bill Werde, thinks Cyrus' show was right on target with the direction she's taking her brand.
"Guys, Miley Cyrus is an all-star hot mess for a hot mess pop moment," Werde tweeted. "She doesn't care what u think & that's her brand. & she just delivered."
