Miley Cyrus, best known for portraying “Hanna Montana” on the Disney channel, continues her march into adulthood with her latest straight-to-DVD movie. Miley frolics around in a sexy, skimpy outfit in the film “So Undercover”, according to the Daily Mail yesterday. The 20 year-old singer and actress continues to try to move away from her former Disney star image both with her acting and singing. Miley Cyrus is back in the studio working on her fourth album, which she views as her freshman effort since she is finally able to work without Disney looking over her shoulder.
Miley Cyrus, who covers Cosmopolitan magazine’s March issue, told the publication, “Number one is my relationship with Liam. That's what I feel the most confident in because you never know; there's so much hype behind my new record, but it could come out and, worst-case scenario, everyone f---ing hates it”.
Miley explains how conflicting it was while working on “Hannah Montana”. “I've never gotten to make a record like this because Disney's always been on my back saying, ‘You've got to promote the TV show in two months, so make sure your record's done...and when you promote your record, can you promote the show, the movie, and the Hannah Montana record?’”
Cyrus goes on saying it was basically like carrying on two separate careers at the same time, while trying to make her own the priority. Now she sees her new album as a chance to make a first impression as if she were a new artist.
And as the young star continues to distance herself from her Disney days, maybe a straight-to-DVD movie she made three years ago will help with that effort, according to the Daily Mail.
In the 2010 flick “So Undercover”, Miley plays a teen who drops out of school to become a private investigator. But her life takes an unexpected turn when she's recruited by the FBI to go undercover at a sorority.
In one scene, Cyrus shows off her toned midriff in a revealing red sports bra and matching shorts as she chats with a room full of barely clothed sorority sisters.
Miley has famously struggled to cast off her “Hannah” days, most recently with her physical transformation. Cyrus chopped off her long auburn hair, opting for an edgy, spiky bleach-blonde coif.
